N2  - Der Artikel, behandelt das Projekt PATIENCE, welches die Implementierung von Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) in der alterstraumatologischen Versorgung eines deutschen Universitätsklinikums zum Ziel hat. Der Hintergrund des Projekts liegt in der steigenden Anzahl alterstraumatologischer Patient*innen und deren komplexen Versorgungsbedarfen. Diese Patient*innen haben häufig multiple Erkrankungen und erfordern eine Kombination aus akutmedizinischer und rehabilitativer Versorgung.
Das Projekt PATIENCE strebt eine bedarfsorientierte Entwicklung und Implementierung von APN an, die auf die spezifischen Bedürfnisse dieser Patient*innen eingehen. Dazu werden internationale Literaturstudien durchgeführt und qualitative Interviews mit Patient*innen, Angehörigen und dem multiprofessionellen Team durchgeführt. Ziel ist es, ein Rollen- und Aufgabenprofil für APN zu entwickeln und dieses über auf einer Modellstation zu pilotieren.
Die Einführung von APN wird als eine mögliche Lösung angesehen, um den wachsenden Anforderungen in der Pflege gerecht zu werden. APN sollen durch ihre spezialisierte Ausbildung und Qualifikation die Versorgung koordinieren, eigenverantwortlich agieren und die interprofessionelle Zusammenarbeit fördern.
N2  - The article deals with the PATIENCE project, which aims to implement Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) in geriatric traumatology care at a German university hospital. The background to the project is the increasing number of geriatric traumatology patients and their complex care needs. These patients often have multiple conditions and require a combination of acute medical and rehabilitative care.
The PATIENCE project aims to develop and implement needs-orientated APNs that address the specific needs of these patients. To this end, international literature studies are being carried out and qualitative interviews conducted with patients, relatives and the multi-professional team. The aim is to develop a role and task profile for APNs and to pilot this on a model ward.
The introduction of APNs is seen as a possible solution to meet the growing demands in nursing. Thanks to their specialised training and qualifications, APNs should coordinate care, act independently and promote interprofessional collaboration.
