Prinzipiell stehen daher bereits w{\"a}hrend des Betriebes große Datenmengen entlang des gesamten Herstellungsprozess zur Verf{\"u}gung. Diese Daten werden teilweise direkt f{\"u}r interne Regelungen der Maschinen oder f{\"u}r Qualit{\"a}tskontrollen genutzt. Ein Großteil dieser Daten bleibt jedoch ungenutzt. Dies hat zwei Hauptgr{\"u}nde: Zum einen m{\"u}ssten sehr große Datenmengen gespeichert werden, zum anderen sind die erzeugten Daten sehr heterogen und ohne Vorverarbeitung und Kenntnis der physikalischen Wirkzusammenh{\"a}nge von keinem direktem Nutzen. Der Verkn{\"u}pfung von relevantem Wissen, Modellen und Daten {\"u}ber alle relevanten technischen Dom{\"a}nen hinweg bietet die M{\"o}glichkeit den OEE zu optimieren. Ein dom{\"a}nen{\"u}bergreifender Datenzugriff erm{\"o}glicht neue M{\"o}glichkeiten f{\"u}r produzierende Unternehmen, insbesondere m{\"u}ssen mit Wissen aufbereitete Daten zusammen mit bedarfsgerecht reduzierten Modellen genutzt werden.
